Warner Bros. Practical Magic Magic Props

PRACTICAL MAGIC, adapted from Alice Hoffman's popular novel, is a romantic fantasy, brought to the screen by director, Griffin Dunne. Starring Sandra Bullock as Sally Owens, Nicole Kidman as Gillian Owens, Stockard Channing as Aunt Frances, Dianne Wiest as Aunt Jet and Aidan Quinn as Gary Hallet, PRACTICAL MAGIC reveals that there's a little witch in every woman. Depressed over the state of her love life, Sally Owens (Sandra Bullock) composes a late night letter to her sister Gillian (Nicole Kidman). Tucked up in her room with her tea and stationary, Sally writes: "Dearest Gilly, Sometimes I feel there's a hole inside of me, an emptiness, that at times, seems to burn. I think if you lifted my heart to your ear, you could probably hear the oceanŠI dream of a love that even time will lie down and be still for. I just want someone to love me." As Sally continues to pour out her soul to her sister, her spoon keeps magically stirring the mug of tea on her desk.

Created for use in this scene, the glazed, ceramic mug is handcrafted with uneven edges and painted blue and green, with a whimsical design of brown stars, pink moons and yellow polka dots. The mug has some surface scratches. The silver plated teaspoon has a delicate floral design on the handle and bears some scratches and tarnish. Cup- 3" x 4" dia., Spoon- 6" long.
