Some PRACTICAL MAGIC for CBS Dateline: Wednesday, September 17, 2003 By: PATRICK SAURIOL CBS and Warner Brothers Television are working on a TV series based on the 1998 movie PRACTICAL MAGIC. The movie starred Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as two small town sisters who practiced magic when they weren't arguing with each other. A pilot script will be penned by writer Becky Hartman-Edwards (who also serves as one of the show's executive producers, along with movie star Bullock and producer Denise Di Novi.) Neither Bullock nor Kidman will reprise their roles for the spin-off series, which doesn't really come as a surprise. When's the show to be broadcast? That's all up to CBS; if they like what they see, it could be on by next fall.
