Currently, it looks like Practical Magic is definitely being filmed as a pilot. Depending on how well that pilot does, the Practical Magic series, Sudbury, may be coming to CBS in the Fall of 2004. The working title is Sudbury. I have seen it described as "revolving around" "the trials and tribulations of a family of witches", and as "center(ing) on two sisters who struggle with having magical powers". Kim Delaney, Jeri Ryan, Esai Morales, and Kat Dennings have been cast. Sandra Bullock, Denise Di Novi and Becky Hartman-Edwards will executive produce, and Hartman-Edwards is also writing the pilot script. I am not sure at this point how closely related it will be Practical Magic, but hopefully it will be as enjoyable as the film. Here's hoping it makes it to the small screen! If you find any new information on this series, please let me know.
